Head to Head Video Game Challenges for Real Money

COMPANY

Launched in early 2021, GamePlus, Inc. was poised to change the game - bringing a whole new level of excitement to your console system: playing your favorite video games for money.

Founded by veterans in the payments space and video gaming aficionados - and with the clout of their partner Discover - GamePlus - and the Game+ app - are offering a more legitimate, safe, and seamless approach to a hot new sector of the e-sport market.

Unfortunately due to economic and market conditions paired with the challenge any start up has with customer acquisition, Game+ was forced to end operations in December 2022.  The Game+ App and Management Portal were truly ahead of their time and will likely be referenced by future products in this space as the skill-based gaming market matures.

PROJECT

This was such a fun project, let us tell you. Combining Skill-based Gaming with Fintec powered payments processing, Game+ combined a payments system with head-to-head video game competitions. Offering more than 50 of the top video game titles for both mobile and console devices. Game+ allowed its users to challenge other users to a 1v1 game, chat and post group messages to their favorite communities and most importantly, safely and securely pass money back and forth only after game wins were confirmed through an automated system backed by real humans to handle any disputes that could arise. Tournaments were later added to allow users to play one another throughout a tournament and based on their placement be awarded for their skills. The Game+ app, management portal and related payments systems were truly ahead of their time and it was an amazing product and company to work with. Please reach out to us to learn more about Game+ if this project or its components interest you.

VIDEO

Here’s Game+’s intro video, which still gets our blood pumping.

Video capture showing two different users challenging one another to a 1v1 game of 8 Ball Pool, where money would be safely and securely handled until the winner was determined and paid their winnings.

Video capture of a Game+ user submitting their winning results and their opponent agreeing they lost fair and square. Money is then transferred to the winning party, safely and securely, all FDIC insured and backed by Discover.
